WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) provides health and safety details on hazardous products in Canadian workplaces. This online course is for employees handling, using, or storing such materials.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
This course includes five impactful modules: Workplace DEI in Action, Bias to Inclusion, Addressing Micro-behaviors, Adopting an Inclusion Mindset, and Becoming a DEI Ally and Agent for Change.
The Professional Development: Fundamentals for Business Planning program contains five courses which include: Assessing Your Organization’s Risks, Identifying Risks in Your Organization, Preparing and Implementing a Business Plan, Responding Effectively to Risks, and Using Strategic Thinking to Consider the Big Picture. Achieving service excellence is very challenging when dealing with angry customers. By following a few simple techniques to avoid confrontation, you can manage difficult customer relationships and project a high-quality client service (CS). In this course, you’ll learn about typical trouble spots in dealing with angry customers and guidelines for avoiding conflict. You’ll also learn how to handle a customer complaint by defusing the tension, investigating the problem, and coming to an agreement on a solution. Register

Once you’ve found a course you’re interested in, click “Get Started”, and then you’ll be asked to confirm if the training is for you, or your employees or your contractors. The courses are offered as part of the Industry Training Program led by Nova Scotia’s Association of Industry Sector Councils (AISC). The program is made possible by funding from the Province of Nova Scotia – through the various Industry Sector Councils – to assist employers, employees, and provincial job seekers in acquiring valuable skills.
